Groceries roll across the belt, and each one rings up on the register screen. Some things really do come in twos — the screen shows ×2 and charges for both. But sometimes the screen says ×2 when only one crossed the belt. There is no bag to check. Remember what you saw; when the customer is finished, mark any line that looks wrong.
